Our Story

Why We Started Eidolon

Eidolon began in Kuala Lumpur in 2021 when a small group of practitioners noticed a gap. Most AI education at the time was either highly academic or pitched to audiences who already had a technical background. There wasn't much for the analyst, the project manager, or the senior executive who needed a working understanding — not a research paper.

We started running short sessions for small groups in a rented training room at Plaza Sentral. The format was simple: explain the concept, show it in action, give people something to practise. No certification pressure, no leaderboards — just a quiet room and time to work through the material at a sensible pace.

Over the following years, we expanded into the Applied Practitioner Track for developers ready to go deeper, and the Team Capability Programme for organisations that wanted to build shared skills across a group. All three programmes carry the same philosophy: clarity first, complexity second.

Today we work with individuals, small businesses, and larger organisations across the Klang Valley and beyond. Our team remains small and our class sizes stay manageable — that's a deliberate choice, not a limitation.

Our Mission

To make working with AI tools and concepts something any professional in Malaysia can do with confidence — regardless of background.

Our Approach

Every session is built around the question: "What would someone need to know to actually use this?" Theoretical depth is provided in notes for those who want it — but the session itself focuses on application.

The People Behind It

Our Team

A small group of practitioners and educators who've worked in data, engineering, and learning design.

RA

Rizwan Azhari

Lead Facilitator

Rizwan has spent over a decade working in data engineering across financial services and logistics. He designs the core curriculum and leads the Fundamentals and Practitioner sessions.

NI

Nurul Izzah Kamarudin

Programme Designer

Nurul brings a background in instructional design and adult learning. She shapes how material is sequenced and ensures sessions stay grounded without losing depth.

JS

Jonathan Soo

Technical Instructor

Jonathan leads the Applied Practitioner Track labs. He works regularly with Python-based ML toolchains and enjoys explaining why things fail as much as how to make them work.

How We Work

Our Commitments

The standards we hold ourselves to across every programme we run.

Data Privacy in Training

Participant data is used solely for programme delivery and communication. We do not share personal details with third parties and follow Malaysian PDPA obligations.

Curriculum Review Cycle

Each programme undergoes a structured review every six months. AI tooling evolves quickly — we update content when the change matters for practice, not just to appear current.

Participant Feedback

Every cohort closes with a structured feedback session. We read all responses and use them to adjust facilitation style, pacing, and content in subsequent runs.

Facilitator Standards

Facilitators are practitioners first. We don't outsource delivery to generalists. Each session is run by someone who uses the tools and methods being taught in their own work.

Honest Scope Definition

We describe each programme's content and what it doesn't cover. If a participant's needs fall outside the scope of a course, we'll say so before enrolment rather than after.

Post-Programme Support

Participants can reach out with practical questions for 30 days after their programme ends. We respond to questions about applying what was covered — not as a help desk, but as colleagues.

Building Capability Across Malaysian Organisations

AI capability is becoming a relevant skill across most professional roles — not just in technology departments. At Eidolon, we focus on the practical side of that shift. Our programmes cover how models work, how to handle and evaluate data, and how to make decisions around AI tools without overstating what they can do.

We operate from Kuala Lumpur because that's where much of this demand is concentrated in Malaysia — but we work with teams from across the Klang Valley and run tailored delivery for organisations outside the capital when scope and logistics allow.

Our instructors have backgrounds in machine learning engineering, data analysis, and adult education. The combination matters: we understand the technical material and we know how to sequence it for an audience that may be encountering it for the first time. Sessions are designed to be revisited, not just attended — notes and exercises are written for reference, not just in-the-moment guidance.

If you're looking for a training partner who will give you a straight description of what a programme covers and what it won't, and who will suggest the right level rather than upselling, we'd be glad to have a conversation.
